Orchard and Grounds

Many years ago La Gabache was used as a Prunery.  This particular region of France is famous for it's wonderful prunes.  You can buy them everywhere in almost every conceivable form.

La Gabache still retains it's traditional French barn look of large stone walls.  Also, the large orchard remains intact.  The orchard is cared for by the local farmer Claudette and her brothers. 

The orchard produces a wonderful harvest of fruit each and every summer.  You will find the most beautiful Plums, Apricots, Apples, Cherries and of course Grapes.

The bulk of the harvest will be taken away by Claudette, however if you are lucky enough to be staying during the high season please feel free to help yourself to any ripe fruit.
